Surabaya State University as one of the leading Educational Personnel Education Institutions in Indonesia, has a teacher procurement program which includes academic education or the Bachelor of Education Program, as well as the Teacher Professional Education Program. To prepare prospective educators, students of the Undergraduate Education Program are given experiences in school which are known as Introduction to School Fields courses. In this guide there is an explanation of the Legal Basis, Definition, Objectives, Scope and Learning Outcomes and learning load. Requirements and implementation of the along with monitoring and evaluation as well as the writing format and form used during the courses implementation are also contained in the guidebook. Before implementing the courses, students are required to carry out the Mircroteaching Course first to learn to plan learning, practice teaching and evaluate learning properly.


The goals of Microteaching:

  1. Students can make learning tools that are innovative, creative and effective
  2. Students can design learning models and methods effectively
  3. Students can design and assess activities on learning outcomes

The objectives of Introduction to School Fields courses:

  1. Building a foundation for the identity of prospective educators through several forms of activities at school.
  2. Students are able to strengthen academic competences in education and fields of study accompanied by higher-order thinking skills.
